Taika Waititi May Have Spent Halloween Finishing Thor: Love And Thunder Script

Most people spent their Halloween dressing up and going trick or treating this year. However, Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi had to stay home because he was busy working. Interestingly, the filmmaker may have teased on the possibility that he is currently working on the script for Thor: Love and Thunder.

Waititi shared a photo on his official Twitter account revealing that he had a heavy workload ahead. Check it out below.

"Happy Halloween I'm in a nightmare hellscape called 'finishing a script 3 days before principal photography' I hope you enjoy your dumb parties u will be forgotten whereas I will be immortalised in a book about kiwi film makers [sic] active between 2005 and 2020. Insert pumpkin emoji," Waititi wrote.

So does this mean that Love and Thunder will actually begin filming this year? Unfortunately, no. As Waititi had previously confirmed, he will be working on one more film before getting started on the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. According to Comicbook.com, he might be hard at work on Next Goal Wins, a new movie that will serve as an adaptation of the documentary of the same name.

It's understandable why Waititi can't work on the fourth Thor film just yet. After all, it isn't due for release until 2021. Hopefully, Waititi will have enough time to complete the screenplay for Love and Thunder next year.

Thor: Love and Thunder will bring back Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson. The sequel is scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.
