Star Wars: The Mandalorian might have been nothing less than a success when it premiered back in November last year, however, the series isn't entirely perfect.
Waiting for the second season of the critically-acclaimed Star Wars live-action series, Star Wars fans have decided to busy themselves by reviewing the details of the first season of The Mandalorian. This includes the origin of Baby Yoda, the doe-eyed scene stealer that captured the fanbase's heart the moment he appeared in the very first episode of the series.
Taking to Reddit (via Express), Star Wars fans have begun discussing the age of Baby Yoda and how it seemingly defies the established logic of Star Wars canon. Fans on the social media site have begun questioning Baby Yoda's maturity for his age, comparing the child to Yoda.
"Yoda was 900 when he died, and states in The Empire Strikes Back that he has been training Jedi for 800 years, which means he would have had to start training others when he was 100," Star Wars fan nbrazelton reminded others on Reddit.
While Baby Yoda's age seemed to fit this cannon, Star Wars fans have begun questioning the cahracter's age and rate of maturity.
"If he looked the same as ‘Baby Yoda' does when he was 50 years old, there's no way he would have been old enough to teach by the time he was 100," a fan added to the thread.
Could there be a point of accelerated maturity somewhere between 50 and 100? We have to wait and see.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian season 2 is set to premiere sometime later this year.
