Squid Game season 2 returns with new sets of players this year on Netflix, just in time for the holidays. Keep in mind that each new actor's roles for the second season have yet to be disclosed. Check out which stars you may recognize from their previous Kdramas!

Im Si-Wan

Outside being a member of the Kpop group, ZE:A, the award-winning actor Im Si-Wan has proven his talent when it comes to the acting industry.

Fans may recognize previous works of his from Jeong Seok-Won in tvN's Reply 1997, Yoon Jong-Woo from Strangers From Hell, Jang Byeong-Tae from 2023's Boyhood, but he is most popularly known for starring as the main culprit on the 2023 flick Unlocked as hacker Oh Jun-Yeong.

Kang Ha-Neul

The multiple best actor awardee Kang Ha-Neul has starred in prominent Kdramas since he graced the screens as Min Hyun-Jae on SBS' To The Beautiful You and as Lee Hyo-Shin in the 2013 SBS drama The Heirs.

However, he is best known for portraying Wu Mu-Chi in the 2022 series The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure, which is available to stream on Netflix.

Park Gyu-Young & Lee Jin-Uk

Both Park Gyu-Young and Lee Jin-Uk have previously played significant roles in Netflix's Sweet Home thriller series. Gyu-Young was the troubled bass guitarist Yoon Ji-Soo, while Lee Jin-Uk played the former detective Pyeon Sang-Wook.

In the past, Park was Jeong Soo-Ah in the 2016 drama Bring It On, Ghost, Park So-Young in 2017's Suspicious Partner, Nam Joo-Ri in It's Okay to Not Be Okay, and Seo A-Ri on Netflix's Celebrity show.

Meanwhile, Lee has depicted several characters in prominent series such as Cha Ji-Won aka Mr. Black in Goodbye Mr. Black, Seo Jun-Hyeong in 2022's Welcome to Wedding Hell, and Seung-Woo in the 2014 drama Miss Granny.

Park Sung-Hoon

Another veteran actor on this list is The Glory's Park Sung-Hoon, who played the ruthless Jeon Jae-Jun in parts 1 and 2 on Netflix.

He was also in Queen of Tears as Yoon Eun-Sung, Sung-Hoon in the 2018 Kdrama, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, as well as Crown Prince Yangnyeong in Joseon Exorcist.

Jo Yu-Ri

The former IZ*ONE member, Jo Yu-Ri, made her solo debut with her single album Glassy back in 2021.

The South Korean singer-actress's previous works had been in Naver's Mimicus where she appeared as Oh Ro-Shi and as Shi-Eun in the seventh episode of Work Later, Drink Now 2. Squid Game season 2 could potentially mark as her major screen role.

Yang Dong-Geun

Having previously worked with former Squid Game actor Park Hae-Soo (who played Cho Sang-Woo in season 1), veteran actor Yang Dong-Geun joins Squid Game season 2 in an undisclosed role.

In the past, Dong-Geun has donned the screens as Yoon Tae-Young in Missing Nine, Lee Soo-Jae in 2018's The 3rd Charm, Z in the 2022 Disney+ series Connect, as well as in the streamer's other Kdrama, Moving, where he portrayed Jung Jun-Hwa.

His latest projects were playing Section Chief Hong in the Yaksha: Ruthless Operations flick and Song Han-Joo's father in 2023's Play, Plii drama.

Kang Ae-Sim

Fans will recognize Kang Ae-Sim for playing motherly roles in prominent Kdramas such as in the 2019 JTBC drama Be Melodramatic, in Beautiful World, Divorce Attorney Shin, and the 2023 flick Concrete Utopia.

Ae-Sim also starred in the premiere episode of Netflix's Extraordinary Attorney Woo as Choi Yeong-Ran.

Lee David

From The King's Woman, Gu Family Book, The Fortress and Who Are You: School 2015 up to gracing the screens on Hotel Del Luna, Itaewon Class, and Law School, Lee David rises to fame as he joins the roster for yet another Netflix series, Squid Game season 2 in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

Choi Seung-Hyun aka T.O.P.

Choi Seung-Hyun, better known as T.O.P. from YG Entertainment's legendary BigBang Kpop group, made a name for himself outside the music industry by being Chae Moon-Shin in I Am Sam, Jeong-Hun in the 2009 flick 19-Nineteen, and most popularly, as Ham Dae-Gil in the 2014 movie, Tazza: The Hidden Card.

D.P. Stars Roh Jae-Won & Won Ji-An

Roh Jae-Won is relatively new in the acting scene but has already starred in popular Kdrama series such as Once Upon a Small Town (2022), D.P. season 2 as Oh Min-Woo's investigator, Ha Sang-Min in A Killer Paradox, and Jung Joon-Ok in the Missing Yoon movie.

Meanwhile, Won Ji-An is best known for being Min Yeong-Ok on Netflix's D.P. in episode 3 and even returned to the series in season 2. Previously, she's starred in reprising roles as Kyung Da-Jung for Hope or Dope parts 1 and 2, Joo In-Hae in KBS2's Heartbeat, and If You Wish Upon Me.
