Spider-Man: Far From Home Re-Release to Feature 4 Minutes of Additional Footage and an Action Scene

Spider-Man: Far From Home has just become the highest-grossing Sony movie of all time, and it looks like Sony wants to go the Avengers: Endgame route and release a special edition in theaters. Unlike the Endgame re-release though, this extended cut of Far From Home seems to have content that fans actually want to see.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the extended cut of Spider-Man: Far From Home will include 4 minutes of additional footage. No specific details have been released about the additional material, but it's said that Sony is "hinting it will be an action sequence."

Personally, I think they'll finally add that footage from the trailers where Spider-Man takes down that mob. At the beginning of the film, Peter was actually said to have a to-do list, including going to Delmar's Grocery, getting a passport, and taking down the gang. This was all cut in favor of Peter going straight to Europe in the film, but it was said to be added as a short extra in the home release of Far From Home.

With the clip said to be four minutes, it could very well be the "to-do list" scene that was cut from the film. Then again, that's just my guess.

Spider-Man: Far From Home has proven to be a huge hit, and has somehow cemented Marvel Studios' creative input when it comes to Tom Holland's Spider-Man. A lot of people think this will keep Spider-Man in the MCU for good, but I guess time will tell whatever Sony has cooking up behind the scenes.

The Spider-Man: Far From Home re-release starts Aug. 29.
