Spider-Man: Far From Home is a pretty great MCU film and does a tremendous job following up the events of Avengers: Endgame. It's also a pretty solid Spider-Man movie, dealing with Peter's struggles to accept his new responsibilities after Iron Man's death, though it did suffer from one thing; the lack of Uncle Ben. While we don't need to see him get shot by a burglar again, seeing Peter remember or miss him wouldn't have hurt anyone.
In fact, the lack of any Ben mentions in the film has fans wondering if he even exists in the MCU. Director Jon Watts confirmed that Ben does exist in the MCU. Funnily enough, the director may have also accidentally revealed that they have future plans for the actor; even hinting that the character might still be alive.
During an interview with ScreenCrush, here is what Watts had to say:
"Yes, Uncle Ben did exist in the MCU. Yeah. I mean, we don't know. We never specifically say anything about him. So whether or not he's around or not..."
To be frank, Marvel should not consider revealing that Ben is alive since it would make all of his struggles with power and responsibility for naught. If Watts' comments are anything to go by, he probably has plans to introduce Ben in a flashback or something similar.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is now showing in theaters.
