Solo: A Star Wars Story might have been a box-office failure, but fans gained a newfound appreciation for the film. Hoping that there'll be a follow-up to Han's story, the #MakeSolo2Happen movement was started, and it seems like it could finally pay off.
According to Star Wars Unity, Lucasfilm will continue to play out more of Han Solo's adventures through Disney+. The outlet states that the initial plan was to do this in the form of a series that'll follow crime syndicates such as Crimson Dawn and Black Sun. However, these plans appeared to have been scrapped and have now evolved into a full continuation of the 2018 film.
It was also pointed out that this was seemingly made possible due to the fans' support of the Solo movie and starting the campaign. So it looks like a full-fledged continuation of the film will be in the works with Alden Ehrenreich returning to play Han Solo.
Disney+ will be home to new Star Wars content in the next few years with a few series already in the works. Perhaps a Solo sequel via a series on the streaming service could be the answer for fans who have been waiting for this to happen. There's still a lot of Han's backstory to cover after all.
As always, it is important to note that this is only a rumor so fans should take this with a grain of salt. That said, it would be cool to see more of Han's story!
