It looks like Ghost Rider is going to be making a comeback soon. Jason Aaron has been hinting that Johnny Blaze, currently the King of Hell after the Damnation event, would be making some sort of comeback in The Avengers and would face off against Robbie Reyes, the new Ghost Rider. Marvel has decided to tease a new series starring the character, with an ominous teaser that can be seen below.
First reported by Bleeding Cool, the teaser doesn't really give us any hints about the show but it does seem like the story will revolve around him ruling hell. Marvel seemingly wants to capitalize on the character popping up in future Avengers stories by giving him his own series, which is an interesting way to go.
While a creative team for the comic series hasn't been named, it's worth noting that Ed Brisson and Juan Figerri wrote a Ghost Rider story for an issue of Marvel Comics Presents. There's a good chance that the two will return for an ongoing series of the character, though we will have to wait and see.
Another thing worth noting is that the character's Damnation tie-in is getting reprinted for Halloween, with a new title called Ghost Rider: King of Hell. If that reprint is anything to go by, there's a good chance that this will be the title of Ghost Rider's new ongoing series.
So, is anyone excited over Ghost Rider: King of Hell?
