Everyone was gearing up for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but everything was halted after James Gunn was temporarily removed from the project. Now the film is set to begin production sometime next year, and we may have some plot details that have leaked online.

Admittedly Roger Wardell is a very mysterious source. The account was created back in December 2018, but everything he leaked about Avengers: Endgame back then ended up incredibly accurate from James D'Arcy reprising Jarvis the butler to Thor being out of shape. Of course, there's still a chance that these leaks don't end up coming true, but based on what the account has given us before, it looks like it's being run by a real insider.
Going back to the film though, not everything here seems too out of place. With Gunn saying that this will close the arc of this current iteration of the Guardians, it would make sense that we should get heavy material like Rocket's creator or Drax being reunited with family.
Sadly we don't get enough details for Thor, and though I can understand if they write him off in the film, I was kind of eager to see how his arc moves forward, what with him leaving everything behind to find out who he is without his duties to Asgard.
No release date has been set for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but you can catch the Guardians in Avengers: Endgame which is now out in theaters.
