Kaguya-sama: Love Is War may be over, but creator Aka Akasaka is keeping busy with his other manga. Fans of both series are in for a treat though, as the latest Oshi no Ko chapter all but confirms that it is happening in the same universe as Kaguya-sama.
While Oshi no Ko’s drama and intrigue-filled story are far from the cute and funny Kaguya-sama, it should come as no surprise for fans that the two series are connected given that they share a creator.
Spoiler Warning: There are spoilers for Oshi no Ko Chapter 111 in this article.
Oshi no Ko x Kaguya-sama
Back in August 2022, a bonus Oshi no Ko chapter was released, which featured a crossover between the two manga. Specifically, Kaguya Shinomiya herself appeared at the chapter’s ending.
At the time, many fans believed that the bonus chapter pretty much spoiled the future of Kaguya-sama.
This is because, at the chapter’s end, it was revealed that Kaguya is now a photographer and is credited as Kaguya Shirogane.
Aside from confirming that Kaguya and Miyuki will end up married, it also reveals that Oshi no Ko is set years after Kaguya-sama's ending.
Of course, this isn’t treated as explicitly canon by all fans. After all, events in bonus chapters aren’t strictly part of the main story.
This time though, a main chapter featured a Kaguya-sama reference that solidifies the theory of the two series being connected.

Shinomiya in the Latest Oshi no Ko Chapter
Currently, Oshi no Ko is beginning its exciting new Movie arc, though the last chapter did not feature any of the main characters.
Instead, the chapter explores the business side of the movie business.
In the chapter, the director of Aqua’s upcoming movie joins a freelance producer to acquire funds for their film’s production.
While seeking investors, they set meetings with various companies, including one that’s named “Shinomiya Traffic Co., Ltd.”
Shinomiya being used as a company name might just seem like a slight nod to Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.
But what’s interesting is that the Shinomiya Group’s business is in transport and banking.
Essentially, this company is likely part of the Shinomiya Group, and this ties into the bonus chapter that features Kaguya.
While we probably won’t see Kaguya or Miyuki anytime soon in the main manga chapters of Oshi no Ko, it’s still a cool nod for fans of both series.
Plus, being in the same universe is believable given their more grounded premises.
