What Is Oshi no Ko About?
Based on the pop idol manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Ko is an isekai drama with a cult following amongst manga fans.
Ai Hoshino is a 16-year-old pop idol who is loved by her fans. She is beautiful and talented and is the perfect embodiment of a pure maiden.
However, things are not how they appear. Gorou Amemiya is Aiās big fan and also a gynecologist.
He is shocked when a pregnant Ai arrives at his hospital. He promises that he will ensure a safe delivery for the idol.
However, Gorou encounters a mystical figure and ends up dead. When he opens his eyes, he is on the lap of his favorite idol.
Gorou learns that he has reincarnated as Aquamarine Hoshino, who is Aiās newborn baby son. Moreover, he also finds out that the life of a pop idol is quite challenging.
The pop idol industry is a world where things are not always fair and talent doesnāt guarantee success.
Can Aquamarine ensure that his mother is happy? In this journey, he meets an unexpected ally.

Oshi no Ko Anime Release Date
It has been confirmed that the Oshi no Ko anime is set to debut in April 2023. However, there is no official release date for Oshi no Ko Episode 1 yet.
What we do know is that the first episode will be an extended 90-minute release.
Oshi no Ko Episode 1 will play in advanced screenings at cinemas in Japan from March 17, 2023.

Rie Takahashi, who is known for voicing Emilia in Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-, is voicing the idol, Ai Hoshino. Other cast members of the series are as follows:

- Yumi Uchiyama (Rudeus Greyrat in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as young Aquamarine Hoshino

Which Studio Is Animating Oshi no Ko?
Doga Kobo is producing the anime adaptation of Oshi no Ko. Established in 1973, Doga Kobo has worked on several renowned anime titles such as YuruYuri, Himouto! Umaru-chan, My Senpai Is Annoying, and Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie.
