FINALLY. After literal years of waiting, we finally have a release date for One-Punch Man season 2. This has been a long wait for many since the first season ended years ago, making many either forget about the anime or simply read the manga, which is so far ahead that it's not even funny. Oh well, at least we'll finally get to see these characters return, pose, and get undermined by Saitama.
On Twitter, a brand new key visual for the second season was leaked and it revealed that we will be getting new episodes on April 2. That's only a month away and shouldn't be a problem since fans have been waiting for years.
It's worth noting that One-Punch Man isn't the only popular anime that had a notoriously long production time. Attack on Titan season 2 faced similar delays for taking so long, though the gap between seasons 2 and 3 wasn't too far off from each other. Both series' are still going strong and we can only hope that the third season of Saitama and friends has less production time.
Then again, we all want it to look gorgeous so that will probably take time. Let's just hope the gap isn't as long.
Fans are worried about the new season's animation quality now that the rights have shifted from Madhouse to J.C. Staff. Most are reserving judgment until a trailer comes out but expect us to have high standards, especially after that explosive first season.
Who else is pumped for One-Punch Man season 2?
