Admit it, whether you're a diehard or a casual Star Wars fan, you've done the Force gesture. Be it opening automatic doors, picking something up, or pretending that you're Force choking someone, it's something that we've all done at least once in our lives. Obi-Wan Kenobi star Ewan McGregor, who's currently enjoying a resurgence in the Star Wars franchise recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he also does the iconic taunt just for his own amusement.
In a recent YouTube feature to promote his legendary comeback to the franchise, the Scottish actor shared that he even tried to use Obi-Wan's famous Jedi mind trick on his children but to no avail. Here's what he had to say: "I do it with doors! I like to do that with automatic doors just for my own amusement. I always do a little Jedi move for the doors and I have occasionally been caught doing it. You know, like at the supermarket or something when I’m wheeling my trolley out. It makes me laugh … but occasionally I’ve been caught doing that and it’s kind of embarrassing. It’s difficult not to do it, isn’t it? It’s fun. If the timing is right, it feels very powerful. My kids … they don’t care. It doesn’t work on them."
