The idea of Wolverine joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe is undoubtedly something that fans are looking forward to. This is probably why people have been trying to fan cast certain actors who could take over the role of the famous mutant after Hugh Jackman's retirement. Interestingly, one image now shows Jackman passing the iconic Wolverine costume to his Eddie the Eagle co-star Taron Egerton.
The picture was shared by internet artist Bosslogic on Instagram. Check it out below.
At this point, it's easy to see that the image is a Photoshopped picture taken while Jackman and Egerton were promoting Eddie the Eagle. Nevertheless, it's a hopeful look at what could happen when Wolverine is cast.
If you were wondering what Egerton would look like as the mutant, Bosslogic also has this awesome fan art you might enjoy.
Although Egerton seems like a great choice to take over as the MCU Wolverine, the Rocketman actor has already stated that there is no truth behind the casting.
"As far as I'm aware it's unfounded," Egerton had said. "I don't know if I'm quite grisly enough. I mean if the people at Marvel think I am then great, let's go. But I think there are probably better candidates. But I would love to be involved with that world somewhere."
