While we're all watching/re-watching/crying over Avengers: Endgame, fans are forgetting about the next superhero movie coming out; X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Granted, fans have been disoriented with the franchise after X-Men: Apocalypse disappointed everyone, but there is some interest in the film since it's Fox's finale with Marvel's merry band of mutants before they are integrated into the MCU.
Marvel and Fox have released new character posters for the film, which point out how the heroes have a dark side. What's interesting about this is that almost every poster has that tagline except for Jessica Chastain's mysterious character, whose tagline reads "every dark side has a hero." Granted, it's not the most intriguing tagline in the world but it does show that she thinks she's doing the right thing.
Still, the whole "every hero has a dark side" tagline isn't a bad one, even if it is a bit generic. Characters like Jean Grey, Beast and Professor X are shown in a new, much darker light. We all knew that Jean's dark side would be a prominent focus since the movie is called Dark Phoenix but the fact that Xavier has been hiding all this from everyone and Beast now wants to kill Jean for what she did to Mystique does have people's interest piqued.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be showing in cinemas on June 6.
