Is it too late to cancel the Apocalypse? Neil Gaiman has just found out about the petition asking Netflix to cancel Good Omens and he has the best reaction to the news.
Gaiman, who co-wrote the novel with Terry Pratchett and produced the Amazon Prime series (no, it doesn't air on Netflix, kids), responded to a tweet by a fan regarding the petition posted on Return To Order. Take a look at his post below.
This isn't the only time that the American Gods author reacted to the news. Another tweet actually asks fans not to tell the people signing the petition about the error.
There are several reasons why the petition is simply wrong. The most obvious one, naturally, is that Good Omens actually airs on Amazon Prime and not Netflix. In addition to that, there is no reason to ask for the show to be canceled since it is a one-off series consisting of six episodes. Oh, and the petition also produced a list of why the series is wrong in several ways:
While the entire thing could have gained more signatures without realizing its fault, a quick visit to the page confirms that they have now updated their cause. The petition now addresses Amazon in hopes to cancel the series.
