This week's episode of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S showed us the history of Tohru and Elma, who are actually closer than it seems. Meanwhile, Ilulu finally decides to do something about her future.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
Tohru and Elma are complete opposites who can't seem to get along, but they actually go way back. In the past, Elma used to intervene with human affairs so that there will be peace, but mainly in exchange for good food. Meanwhile, Tohru decided to stick with her because she was interested in the way Elma operated on her own terms.
Eventually, they couldn't see eye to eye with certain things and tried to kill each other. Kobayashi says they've gotten so close that they can fight, which cited violent reactions from the two, who deny that they're friends.
Ilulu continues to laze around the house, so Tohru told her to do something about it. Ilulu decides to look for a part-time job with Tohru. She chose to work at a candy shop—she wanted to be at a place where kids have fun.
Taketo, the grandson of the candy shop owner, was tasked to show her the basics. While he was initially weirded out with Ilulu, he realizes that she's actually a nice girl.
