Mieruko-chan Episode 10 Recap
Hana is getting more hungry faster than usual, making her concerned that something might be wrong. Miko doesn't think too much of it since Hana is always hungry anyway. Meanwhile, things are still messy in their class. Zen, the substitute teacher, is still consistently surrounded by dark spirits and a giant ghost with bulging eyes. Miko remains anxious throughout the whole class since she has to pretend that she doesn't see the ghost ā especially since it was the same ghost from before that told her, "don't look." Miko becomes more anxious when it's her turn to read. Before Zen and the ghost get a closer look at her, Hana's stomach rumbles loudly. Miko volunteers to bring Hana to the nurse's office.
In the other classroom, Yulia notices Miko and Hana on their way to the nurse's office. She decides to stop by and see what's wrong. When Hana explains that she's been hungrier than usual, Yulia casually mentions that considering the dark spirits surrounding Zen, it's no surprise that Hana's aura is also getting affected. Hana is confused by the statement, and Yulia tries to save herself from the slip-up. Miko realizes that Yulia might be able to help, even if the latter can't fully see everything that Miko sees.
After school, Miko and Hana spend time together at a park. Hana is eating something again while Miko starts thinking that pretending to ignore the ghosts isn't going to work anymore. A kid begins waving at Miko, and she waves back. Realizing that she can see, the kid turns into a ghost and prepares to attack. However, the shrine spirits appear and get rid of the ghost. Miko realizes that "three times" meant she would be protected three times, and now there's only one chance left. In the after-credits scene, a person in a hoodie was supposed to harm a cat in a dark alley. Luckily, Miko's classmates heard the cat, causing the person to run off before they get caught.
