MCU fans have debunked the claims that the newly-released first poser for Thunderbolts* was generated from an artificial intelligence (AI) tool.
Yesterday, Marvel Studios finally released the teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated film, giving fans their first official look at the assembling of a new team of unlikely heroes in the MCU.
A poster was also released which featured the chaotic team-up of the fan-favorite MCU characters with Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova in the front and center of the mess.
Thunderbolts* Poster AI Claims Debunked by Fans
Since the poster of Thunderbolts* was released, some people online questioned parts of the design and suggested that Disney may have used an AI-generated tool due to the suspicious look of Bob (Lewis Pullman)'s fingers.
Fans were quick to debunk the AI claims on the poster as they pointed out that Bob still has five fingers and explained that it only looked that way due to bad photoshop work and cropping of the photo.
While it is understandable some people may have presumed that an AI tool was used, there are no actual signs when you look closely at the poster.
With the way AI technology has evolved significantly in the past several months, people are now more careful whenever they see a new artwork online and assess whether it's someone made by an artist or AI-generated.
The latter won't be the case for the Thunderbolts* poster as nothing indicates that an AI tool was used and it was still made by talented artists that Disney hired to create an artwork for the highly-anticipated MCU film.
This should ease the concerns of some people online who have questioned the artistic creation of the poster and they can still enjoy it as a work created by a human being without any help from an AI-generated tool.
Thunderbolts* is slated for release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
