In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was asked about the rumors that Adam Driver is in talks for a major role in the MCU.

He confirmed that he had Zoom meetings with the Star Wars actor multiple times over the years, but he always ended up rejecting their offers. He didn't reveal which projects or roles he was in talks for.

"It’s no secret we’d like to [work with Adam]. But it’s a tradition to Zoom with him, and then he passes. That’s a long-lived tradition. He couldn’t be more cordial. He is usually upfront about how he is feeling," Feige said.

While he didn't directly address the recent rumors that Driver is joining the X-Men movie, it looks like there is validity to what we've been hearing since there is a confirmation that Marvel has met with him.

According to recent reports, Driver is being eyed to play William Stryker in X-Men, an iconic villain character in the comics. Before that, he was also being rumored for the role of Magneto.

For now, let's wait and see whether Driver will end up joining the MCU at some point. There is no doubt that a lot of fans will be happy if a talent of his caliber is part of the franchise.

So far, plot details for the X-Men MCU reboot are still under wraps, and it is expected to take place sometime after Avengers: Secret Wars.

Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier is currently attached to helm the project. Beef creator Lee Sung Jin and The Bear co-showrunner Joanna Calo are writing the screenplay.

Last year, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave a tease on what fans should expect from their reboot of the X-Men property.

"We had a great experience with him on Thunderbolts*. And if you saw that movie, what he did with those character interactions, he also has his pulse on, shall we say, a younger demographic," he said.

"He’s younger than me for sure, but he’s tapped into that in a way that I think was important for Thunderbolts*, much more important for X-Men. Because X-Men, as it was in the comics, will be a very youth-oriented, focused, and cast movie."
