It looks like Marvel may be preparing more projects for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Last week at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con International, Marvel Studios unveiled its plans for the next phase of the MCU. Announcing its slate for 2020 and 2021, Marvel revealed its plans for five feature films and five different mini-series for Disney's upcoming streaming site, Disney+.
But now, it seems like Marvel has more to offer in Phase 4.
Delivering the key graph at the SIGGRAPH conference (via CBR), Marvel Executive Vice President of Physical Production Victoria Alonso teased that there's so much more to come in Phase 4.
"There are so many stories to tell," Alonso said during her key graph, "The thing about Marvel is we have 6,000 characters in our library. There will be children forever telling these stories."
The Marvel exec also couldn't help but poke fun saying that at Marvel, "dying is just a state of mind."
This definitely adds to the speculation that Marvel is preparing a few more other projects for Phase 4. In an interview with MTV News, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about potential crossovers that Marvel's 2020 and 2021 films might build up to. The producer then mentioned that Marvel actually wanted eleven projects for the new MCU phase. That means that there's still one project that has yet to be announced (and honestly, maybe the studio could squeeze in another one in Phase 4 that's to come).
Let's just wait for Marvel to make its official announcement.
Phase 4 commences when Black Widow releases on May 1, 2020.
