Marvel Reportedly Working On Guardians 3000 Series Featuring Sylvester Stallone And Other Ravagers

Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rosenbaum may have had very few scenes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, however, rumors have started circulating saying that the two may very well return for Ravagers series on Disney+.

TVO from the Lords of the Long Box YouTube channel just recently posted a video dropping a number of different rumors regarding Marvel Studios' planned projects for Disney's upcoming streaming service. According to the YouTuber, word on the street says that Marvel is planning to create Guardians 3000 for Disney+.

This series is supposed to focus on the Guardians Ravagers, allowing Stallone to reprise his role as Stakar Ogord and Michael Rosenbaum to return as Martinex. The show will also reportedly see Michelle Yeoh return to play Aleta, Ving Rhames to return as Charlie-27, and Miley Cyrus to return as the voice of Mainframe.

Though they didn't get that much screen time in the movie, the characters that Stallone, Rosenbaum, Yeoh, Rhames, Cyrus, and Michael Rooker play in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, are actually part of the original Guardians of the Galaxy 1969 comic book team.

The title Guardians of the Galaxy is the same name as Dan Abnett's comic book series which features the Guardians of the Galaxy from the 31st Century.

Here's a synopsis of the comic book series:

"Meet the Guardians of the Galaxy…from the 31st century! Yondu, Charlie-27, Martinex, Starhawk and Aleta, Vance Astro and Nikki to name a few – having united to defeat the reptilian Badoon, these accidental heroes found themselves the peacekeepers of a torn universe. Many are the last of their alien race."

It's worth noting that Abnett also wrote the Guardians of the Galaxy comics that inspired James Gunn's GOTG movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
