Magic: The Gathering Kaldheim Extended Cut Trailer Released

Wizards of the Coast has released an extended cut version of the official cinematic trailer for the new Norse mythology-inspired Magic: The Gathering set, Kaldheim, and it features never-before-seen footage that the first version of the Kaldheim cinematic trailer didn't show.

The original Kaldheim cinematic trailer released last week did not feature footage of Inga Rune-Eyes, but the extended cut gives us a look at the leader of the Omenseekers asking Kaya to help them. She grants her dual axes so she can use them to fight the villainous Tibalt.

While this definitely looks more epic than the first version of the Kaldheim cinematic trailer, some fans on the YouTube comments section of this video are criticizing how the events in the trailer are inconsistent to the lore of Kaldheim. In the story, the elven planeswalker Tyvar Kell made the axes for Kaya, not Inga Rune-Eyes.

Kaldheim is now available on Magic: The Gathering Arena and Magic Online. It will officially be released on tabletop on February 5. You can also play the early access of MTG Arena version for Android devices.
