Legendary Magic: The Gathering artist John Avon has illustrated many of the popular trading card game's fantasy artworks, and soon, fans will be able to get new playmats featuring some of Avon's iconic images including the "Castle Vantress" and "Witching Well" art from the new Throne of Eldraine set, Ravnica art, and even the silly "City of Ass" art from the joke MTG set, Unhinged. The beautiful new playmats will be available in the new Kickstarter project the UK-based artist just launched.
Avon's Kicktarter Project offers limited edition playmats, and they will be limited by the numbers ordered throughout hte project. All of the players will be hand-signed in gold or silver by Avon. Ultra Pro helped produce the playmats.
At the time of this writing, the Kickstarter has raised $105,790 from 1,410 backers with still 39 days left before the campaign ends. If you're a fan of Avon's incredible art, you may want to check out this Kickstarter before it ends because this will be your only chance to get your favorite images featured on these playmats.
17 playmats have already been unlocked in the course of this Kickstarter campaign, and they are planning to unlock more if the campaign reaches its stretch goals. Check out the playmats unlocked so far below:
