Lupita Nyong’o Sizzles As MCU’s Storm In New Image

Marvel may have yet to announce its plans for the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and all of Fox's other mutant heroes now that Disney's completed its merger with 21st Century Fox, but Marvel fans are still excitedly anticipating their arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While there hasn't been any word on when the X-Men will arrive in the MCU, fans have been busy imagining different actors and actresses as mutant heroes, and that includes Lupita Nyong'o. Sure, the actress may have already made her Marvel debut as Nakia in Black Panther, but somehow BossLogic can't help but imagine her in a different role: the X-Men's Storm.

Taking to Twitter, the popular fan artist decided to share a piece showcasing what Nyong'o might look like if she were to play Marvel's version of Ororo Munroe.

Check it out down here:

The Academy Award-winning actress does look pretty good as Storm. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that Nyong'o is going to be cast again as Ororo Munroe – especially since we're expecting her to reprise her role as Nakia in a Black Panther sequel.

Besides, it's probably going to take a while for Marvel to introduce the mutants into the MCU. Not only does Marvel have to reboot the X-Men franchise, but the studio has to figure out a way to organically bring the X-Men and all the other mutants into the cinematic universe that it's already built with the Avengers. Either the studio is going to have to retcon the narrative it already has in place for the MCU starting with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), or it's going to have to weave another thread so that it can introduce the mutants into its larger story.

Avengers: Endgame is already available on Digital HD.
