Daemon Targaryen is finding more men to create his army, and it seems that the teenage Lord Oscar Tully is his last hope in House of the Dragon season 2.

In an attempt to manipulate the young boy's mind in preparation for battle, the new Lord Tully takes matters into his own hands.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers for House of the Dragon season 2, so proceed with caution.

Lord Oscar Tully Steps Up Against Daemon Targaryen For His Army

Daemon was rather quick to dismiss Oscar Tully's presence, considering he was merely a teenage boy running the House of Tullys and becoming Lord Paramount in the Riverlands.

Oscar, in response to the discrimination of his age and experience, didn't take that lightly. As the new head of the House of Tullys, he swore an oath to King Viserys, which he plans on keeping, in his family's name.

However, not without ensuring that Daemon knew he and his army despise him.

Apart from referring to Daemon as a "king consort" when they met for a second time, he made sure to say it in front of the Riverlands' men to gain their trust and respect as their new leader (as he and Daemon seemingly planned to).

In Oscar's words, "I see no reason to cast aside loyalty, no matter how loathsome I may find her representative the prince" to which Daemon corrected, "King. Mind your tongue, boy."

To assert Oscar's dominance further, he walks up with pride toward Daemon to give him an ultimatum, "Will you have our army or not?" and when the latter refuses to speak his approval, Oscar declares that their house's word stands "even if certain people are unworthy of it."

Game of Thrones Fans Just Witnessed Another Lyanna Mormont Moment

The scene couldn't help but bring fans back to another young head of their house in Game of Thrones: the Lady Lyanna Mormont of Bear Island and head of House Mormont after her mother, Maege Mormont, died in the War of the Five Kings.

Both may have been far too young to strategize the utilization of their men and resources in preparation for war, but both were brave and intelligent enough to bare their tongues if need be.
