Loki Theory Suggests the Arrival of Time-Travelling Villain Kang

Earlier this week, Marvel fans received the confirmation that time travel would be a major component in Marvel Studio's upcoming Disney+ series, Loki.

Now, according to a report by the Independent, there are new theories spreading on Reddit (though they've been unfortunately deleted) that the time-traveling warlord Kang the Conqueror might end up being the main antagonist of the new series.

For those who aren't familiar with the character, Kang is a villain that travels through time. There have been quite a number of alternate versions of the character that have appeared throughout the Marvel comic book universe. The new Loki theory that's been going around online suggests that the TV show will have the character evolve into the villain from the Fantastic Four.

Though there's absolutely no guarantee that the theory would ever come true, having Kang would be a convenient way to bring Marvel's First Family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans have been itching to see Marvel incorporate the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and all of Fox's mutant characters ever since Disney completed its acquisition of 21st Century Fox's film and television assets.

Unfortunately, it seems like Disney is in no rush to bring the X-Men into the MCU just yet – not after the terrible outcome of X-Men: Dark Phoenix. While the Mickey Mouse House has openly guaranteed a place for Ryan Reynold's Merc with a Mouth, things really aren't that sure for the X-Men just yet. Besides, Marvel's still busy building Phase 4 of the MCU.
