Loki Star Tom Hiddleston To Return in The Night Manager Season 2

It has been almost seven years since The Night Manager concluded but it looks like the BBC One series is finally moving forward with a second season. It has just been confirmed that The Night Manager Season 2 is in the works and Loki star Tom Hiddleston is set to return as Jonathan Pine.

Deadline reports that The Night Manager Season 2 is finally set to begin production later this year. The second season will be filmed in London and South Africa under the working title Steelworks. Interestingly, the series is said to be returning for a third season as well.

This is great news for fans who have been waiting for The Night Manager Season 2 since 2016. Although the premise of the second season has not yet been revealed, it is expected to take place two years after the events in the first season as Tom Hiddleston's Jonathan Pine learns that Hugh Laurie's Richard Roper is dead and that he will be facing new dangers ahead.

The series is based on the novel of the same name by John le Carre and follows Jonathan Pine, the night manager of a luxury hotel in Cairo and former British soldier, who is recruited by the Foreign Office task force investigating illegal arms sales. Pine's mission in the first season was to infiltrate the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Roper. However, with Roper gone, Pine is set for another mission.

The Night Manager Season 2 is also set to bring back Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Elizabeth Debicki and Secret Invasion actor Olivia Colman. Both actors had not yet joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe when the first season was released but it's going to be awesome to see them in Season 2.

The Night Manager Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Meanwhile, Tom Hiddleston will return in Loki Season 2 which is set to premiere on Disney+ later this year.
