SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!Loki Episode 6 concluded with Sylvie killing He Who Remains aka Kang the Conqueror and unleashing a multiverse with timelines that cannot be pruned. Before doing so, she sends Loki back to the TVA headquarters.

Once there, Loki warns Mobius and Hunter B-15 about a multiversal war that will be waged by the Kang Variants. However, Mobius doesn't recognize Loki, who realizes he had been sent to a TVA in a different timeline.

Luckily, the episode concludes on a hopeful note. As we see a shot of Loki's case file, it is clearly stamped, "Loki Will Return In Season 2."

Marvel Studios and Disney+ have not yet made an official announcement about the Loki Season 2 release date. However, there is a possibility that the second season will begin production later this year or early 2022. Additionally, the follow-up to the Disney+ series could premiere by late 2022 or sometime in 2023.

It might sound like a long wait but it's best to remember that Marvel currently has a lot of shows lined up on Disney+ alone. We are still expecting shows like Hawkeye, Miss Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk in the next year. In addition to that, there are MCU films that will be released starting with September's Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings.

Although Loki Season 2 isn't happening anytime soon, fans might see the God of Mischief in action a lot sooner. There are reports that Tom Hiddleston will show up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and will join Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorceror Supreme and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch.

We love the idea of Loki being in Doctor Strange 2. However, Hiddleston's involvement in the sequel has not yet been confirmed. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
