There are a lot of things to like about it, one of which is Mysterio, and a lot of that has to do with Jake Gyllenhaal's performance as the charismatic character. Now, we're about to head into spoiler territory so know that we're about to talk about Mysterio's role in the film.
MILD SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME
If you haven't read the comics, watched the animated shows, or played any of the video games, then you probably don't know that Mysterio is the actual villain. Fans familiar with the character knew it since the trailer came out but the reveal is really well done in the film. Kevin Feige recently spoke with Screen Rant and explained why he wanted to Mysterio as the film's main villain.
Props to Feige since the use of Mysterio's illusions made for one of the film's best and craziest moments. The scene where Spider-Man is overflooded with one illusion after the other is up there as one of the MCU's most visually-pleasing moments. It's almost up there with Doctor Strange.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is now showing in theaters.
