James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has to be the most anticipated film that Marvel is working on next. The fact that Gunn is returning to the director's seat after temporarily being fired has a lot of people jumping with joy, especially now that Avengers: Endgame confirmed that Thor would be a part of the group. However, some fans are worried that the movie will be called Asgardians of the Galaxy.
Gunn has seemingly put these worries to rest, thanks to an Instagram story that has him putting the words "Don't worry," in front of a ton of messages asking him not to rename the film. It looks like fans are getting what they want and this movie will probably still be called Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is fitting since the last one was called Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Funnily enough, there is a comic book called Asgardians of the Galaxy, which has a number of Asgardians from the Marvel universe having adventures in space. Featuring characters like Angela, Valkyrie, Thunder Strike, and others, it was a fun enough series but one that might not last long after Marvel's War of the Realms. Also, Thor was never a part of it.
At least fans that want the name can check that comic book out.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn't have a release date yet but is expected to be a part of phase four.
