Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-Kun, also known as Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki or The Low Tier Character "Tomozaki-kun", is a Project No. 9 produced romance anime series which follows the story of a loner, Fumiya Tomozaki, who prefers to be on his own despite being one of the best gamers in the country as he sees life as a horrible game.
On the other hand, Aoi Hinami, a cheerful girl who seems to be excelling in everything she is doing, chanced upon and met Fumiya then gave him guidance saying Fumiya should be taking the game of life seriously and in doing so, Aoi gave him the bottom-tier character strategy by a high school student.
Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-Kun is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name written by Yūki Yaku and illustrated by Fly. The light novel series is being published by Gagaga Bunko (Shogakukan) and the English version of the light novel is translated by Winifred Bird and published by Yen Press.
Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-Kun not only exists in light novels, but it also has a Japanese shōnen manga adaptation written by the same author, Yūki Yaku, with the illustrations of Eight Chida. The manga series is published in Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Gangan Joker and has been ongoing since December 2017.
