Jackass 5 is finally happening. The franchise’s co-creator and de facto leader, Johnny Knoxville, officially announced a new installment four years after Jackass Forever.
As fans get excited to see another round of pain-inducing stunt performances and pranks, they can’t help but wonder which members of the iconic stunt crew will return.
From Knoxville himself to Bam Margera and more, here’s who may appear in Jackass 5.
Johnny Knoxville

Of course, as one of the franchise’s creators and the person who announced the movie himself, Johnny Knoxville is highly likely to return in Jackass 5.
“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!” he wrote on Instagram. “We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come, but we wanted you to hear it from us first!!”
Since the show began in 2000 on MTV, the stunt performer has endured extreme pain, with Jackass Forever featuring some of his worst injuries to date.
However, as Knoxville has now aged, the stunts may be less brutal than before, with him possibly focusing more on pranks or guiding the next generation of the crew through the most dangerous stunts.
Bam Margera

Bam Margera’s relationship with his Jackass co-crew has been controversial for several years. In fact, he was removed from Jackass Forever for violating a “wellness agreement.”
While this led to a lawsuit alleging coercion and discrimination, which eventually ended in a settlement, there’s no denying that Margera has been a significant part of the franchise.
With that being said, TMZ reported that Margera would return in Jackass 5, though only through archival footage.
Filmmakers are reportedly negotiating to include older footage of Margera “to acknowledge his legacy and unseen work,” despite his troubled exit from the franchise.
Steve-O

As one of the original cast members, Steve-O may also return in Jackass 5, albeit in a minor role.
He may no longer take part in the most dangerous stunts after expressing concerns about age, the risk of serious injury, and diminishing returns.
In fact, the comedian previously shared his thoughts, saying it “wasn’t fun” watching Knoxville suffer some of his most brutal injuries in Jackass Forever.
Now that the crew is in their 50s, Steve-O has questioned whether the stunts are still safe or even entertaining at this stage.
Jason “Wee Man” Acuña

Jason “Wee Man” Acuña has always been enthusiastic about Jackass.
In fact, he felt lucky that Jackass 5 happened and was even grateful the franchise lasted this long.
With that level of enthusiasm, it wouldn’t be surprising if Acuña would be part of Jackass 5, once again bringing his unique physicality and sharp comedic timing to the series.
Chris Pontius

Chris Pontius has been looking forward to a fifth Jackass movie, and now that it’s officially happening, there’s a strong chance he will be part of it.
After the restrictions that affected the production of Jackass Forever due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he may once again be seen delivering his signature brand of outrageous physical comedy.
It’s also worth noting that he continues to maintain a good relationship with the group, giving little reason to believe he wouldn’t return.
