With the recent announcement that a fifth Jackass movie is currently on its way, fans have been wondering whether former cast member Bam Margera will be returning.
The Viva La Bam star was notably fired from the production of Jackass Forever due to drug and alcohol issues and alleged disagreements with the creators and producers. It led to a lawsuit against them and Paramount, which ultimately resulted in a settlement, and the terms of the settlement were kept confidential. Margera still showed up in Forever in one scene that was filmed before he was let go.
Is Jackass 5 Bringing Back Bam Margera?

EW confirmed that Bam Margera will still make an appearance in Jackass 5, but he won't be filming any new scenes for the upcoming installment.
Instead, he will appear through archival footage from the previous films. A deal between Paramount and Margera has been made in order for the former cast member to appear in this capacity.
So far, Margera has not commented on the reports of his archival footage appearance in the upcoming film, and he has rarely discussed his time in Jackass ever since the lawsuit ended.
Last year, he ruled out the possibility of a reunion with his Jackass co-stars, regardless of the money that would be offered to him.
"What they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it," Margera said. "You couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them. The damage has been done."
Not only that, but Margera has also ruled out the prospect of reviving his spinoff series, Viva La Bam.
"I just feel like that type of show has completely run its course," Margera said. "Living with my parents, and painting the whole kitchen blue, and having my mom freak out — to end something like that, and then your life moves on. You get your own house, with your own wife and you have a kid," he said.
"I would have to move back in with my parents and re-mess with ’em after giving them a 15-year break. It would just be weird."
What to Expect in Jackass 5
So far, the details regarding Jackass 5 are still under wraps. While some fans have speculated that it might be a compilation movie of past installments, it is confirmed to feature new stunts as well as never-before-seen footage from previous movies. No formal title has been announced.
"Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!" Johnny Knoxville teased in his announcement post on Instagram. "More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!"
The film is currently slated for release in theaters on June 26. It is unknown yet whether Jeff Tremaine, who directed the previous movies, will also return to helm the fifth installment.
