Bam Margera may return to Activision’s video game remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 as a “secret skater,” but the renowned skateboarder has no plans to be part of Jackass again.
The stunt performer had a brief appearance in 2022’s Jackass Forever before he was surprisingly fired. However, following his dismissal and a legal battle with Paramount, no amount of money could convince Margera to reunite with Johnny Knoxville and his crew.
Will Bam Margera Return to Jackass?

Margera began making a name for himself through the MTV shows Jackass and Viva la Bam while he was still starting out as a skateboarding TV icon.
However, after years of stunts, controversy, and personal struggles, he was ultimately dismissed from Jackass Forever.
While performing stunts and pranks for the show seemed fine for him, it’s the idea of reuniting with Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and the rest of the original cast that he’s skeptical about.
“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it and I just, you couldn't offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them,” he told Cinemablend. “The damage has been done.”
In addition to Jackass, Margera also has no plans to revive the spin-off Viva la Bam.
“I just feel like that type of show has completely run its course,” he explained. “Living with my parents, and painting the whole kitchen blue, and having my mom freak out – to end something like that, and then your life moves on, you get your own house, with your own wife and you have a kid.”
It’s been 20 years since Viva la Bam ended after running for five seasons (from 2003 to 2005) on MTV.
True enough, the 45-year-old star now has a life of his own—far different from the time he was still living with his parents.
“If we did a Viva La Bam [reboot], I would have to move back in with my parents and re-mess with ’em after giving them a 15-year break,” he continued. “It would just be weird.”
Why Bam Margera was Fired from Jackass Forever?

Margera first joined Jackass during its initial run from 2000 to 2001. From there, he became one of the main cast members of the franchise, appearing in its movie adaptations and spinoffs.
However, he only had a small part in Jackass Forever after allegedly testing positive for Adderall, which he claimed he had been taking as a prescription drug for over a decade, during the film’s production. This result violated the “wellness agreement” he had signed with the producers at the time.
To defend himself, Margera sued Paramount, Knoxville, and director Spike Jonze in 2021, claiming he was wrongfully fired from the series revival.
He alleged that the studio forced him to sign a contract while he was still in a rehabilitation facility, then required him to complete multiple daily drug tests and take a cocktail of medications prescribed by Paramount’s own medical team.
Margera described the effects of those drugs as leaving him “physically and mentally drained, depressed, and a shell of his former self.”
So, while a settlement was reached in 2022, his professional and personal relationship with his former colleagues had already been damaged.
