Does anyone remember when Jack Black used to be cool? When he would make us laugh with his performances in movies like School of Rock? Well, the actor is still trying to be cool these days and we aren't sure if it's working. Last time we heard from Black, he was making his own "gaming channel" and, to be honest, we aren't sure if that's still up.
To capitalize on those fans wanting to Naruto run as a way to raid Area 51, Black posted a video of himself doing the run alongside a number of blockbuster movies. It's somewhat humorous and if you miss Black in movies, this might do the trick for you. Personally, this feels like the infamous "hello fellow kids" meme that millennials like us use when we something dated.
Admittedly, Area 51 memes are still around, though they aren't as relevant as they used to be. So yeah, while Black definitely tried, this is the definition of a dated video, though we know that a bunch of kids online will like it. Plus, it's kind of neat seeing someone like Jack Black do these things, though it makes the meaner of us wonder why he doesn't just make movies or music.
Was this too mean? Eh.
In fairness, we can't blame Jack Black for trying to be relevant and funny but we wish he'd do so in more creative ways. Oh well, let's see how the general public reacts to this.
