Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Tsukimichi light novel series, so proceed with caution.
What Happened to Sofia Bulga in the Tsukimichi Season 2 Finale?
Sofia Bulga had a difficult time in the final two episodes of Tsukimichi season 2 because of the pain and suffering she experienced while fighting Makoto Misumi and the Greater Dragon Luto.
Sofia tried everything she could to overcome Makoto, even transforming her body into a better draconic version of herself, but she was unable to vanquish him in the Prison of Swords dimension.
She even used Lancer as a secret weapon, but her attempts were futile.
Instead, Makoto destroyed every sword in the Prison of Swords, diminishing the number of her lives one by one. In other words, Makoto was simply too strong for Sofia to overcome.
Sofia somehow survived the fight with Makoto, but the Greater Dragon Luto intercepted her afterward.
Sofia has always longed to see Luto because of their shared connection, but the Greater Dragon dismisses her, calling her garbage along with Lancer, whom he previously thought interesting.
Luto then removed all of Sofia's blessings, including the dragon's blessing, leaving her unconscious and dead on the ground.
So, Is Sofia Bulga Dead or Alive in Tsukimichi?
Sofia Bulga is still alive in Tsukimichi, as revealed in the succeeding events of the light novel. She technically died in season 2, but Luto decided to revive her, make full use of her body, and change her memories.
Currently, Sofia has softened up, contrary to her aggressive, reckless, and impulsive demeanor, which always meant trouble for anyone she meets.
She also has no recollection of Luto killing her but rather has memories of the Greater Dragon’s caring and loving personality.
In addition, Sofia started to have a good working relationship with Makoto and the Kuzunoha Company.
She learned to admire their work, as Sofia lived her day-to-day life as the daughter of the Adventurer’s Guild master.
