After a week of complaints, fans were shocked when Insomniac Games and Sony revealed that the Spider-Man suit from Sam Raimi's movies, dubbed the Raimi Suit by many, was just added to free to Marvel's Spider-Man aka Spider-Man PS4. This shocked a lot of people because the developers seemingly made it clear that the suit wouldn't be added and they even rubbed some fans off the wrong way, with some of them expressing anger towards the developers for not listening to them.
Looks like the joke's on them.
Called the Webbed Up suit, due to the web-lining in this costume being more prominent than in other outfits, fans will be able to equip it and use it to their heart's content when they download the latest update for the game. The suit, like the other DLC outfits, doesn't have any special abilities but on the flipside, fans don't have to do any tasks to unlock said outfit.
Just like every other alternate attire in the game, this suit looks great and should make fans who miss Spider-Man 2 (both the game and the movie) very happy. There are still no pizza missions in the game but it's something we can live with, given the amount of DLC coming to the title.
Hopefully, those that complained about the outfit are satisfied and stop barraging Insomniac Games with how disappointed they were. Sure, Insomniac shouldn't have been so abrasive about the costume but when you consider how annoying some of the requests got, it's a bit understandable.
Marvel's Spider-Man aka Spider-Man PS4 is available now. The Silver Lining DLC comes out tomorrow, on December 21.
