It's a great year to be a Spider-Man fan. Marvel's Spider-Man aka Spider-Man PS4 gave us one of the best none-comic book Spider-Man stories in a long while. Then Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out and outdid that by being better than every Spider-Man movie before it and even some of the MCU films. Both forms of media do a lot of good for the character but fans who weren't able to play the game on PS4 can now witness the story in comic book form.
Marvel has announced Marvel's Spider-Man: City at War, a six-issue mini-series that will retell the story of the PS4 game. Oddly enough, the game's writer Christos Gage will not be writing this mini-series, even though he has written a number of comic book stories before, including this week's concluding Spider-Geddon. Thankfully, we have Dennis Hopeless, who has written plenty of great comic books and art from Michele Bandini.

Bill Rosemann, the executive creative director at Marvel Games, had this to say about the new comic series (via Newsarama):
The press release also promised new story moments and a number of behind-the-scenes material. If you never played the game or are stuck with an Xbox One, you can do worse than buy this comic book series.
Marvel's Spider-Man: City at War #1 (of 6) is coming out this March.
