Netflix has finally dropped the official teaser for Stranger Things Season 5, showing that everyone in Hawkins is in trouble. While there will surely be deaths in the final season, the teaser seems to confirm that two characters are about to meet their end.
The hair-raising, almost three-minute teaser reveals a lot about the show’s highly anticipated return.
After the Upside Down bled into the small town of Indiana in the previous season finale, greater dangers are now on the horizon—not just for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her group, but also for the innocent citizens of Hawkins.
As the battle against Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and the Upside Down intensifies, these two may be saying their goodbyes in Stranger Things Season 5.
Will Robin and Murray Die in Stranger Things Season 5?
Several theories have emerged about the fate of fan-favorite characters in Stranger Things Season 5 following the release of its teaser—one in particular focuses on Robin (Maya Hawke) and Murray (Brett Gelman).
Robin is seen with Murray just before the white truck he’s driving is attacked by a Demogorgon. The pair is standing together at the front of the vehicle.
Though the teaser doesn’t show what the beast does next, a later scene reveals the severity of the situation, with holes lining the sides of the lorry. This suggests a violent encounter.
While this doesn’t confirm their fate, it strongly hints at a grim outcome and potentially places them on the list of characters who might die in the final season.
If Robin dies, it would leave a significant impact on viewers, as she has been one of the most beloved characters since joining the show in Season 3.
As for Murray, he became a close ally of Joyce (Winona Ryder) after helping her rescue Hopper (David Harbour) from a high-security prison in Kamchatka, Russia, in Season 4.
Having become a significant character in his own right, Murray’s death would also be an emotional blow.
