A lot of fans got excited when the ending of the fifth episode of Hawkeye showed the long-awaited return of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin. There is now high anticipation for the finale as it will give us a full glimpse of the character's return and, of course, the resolution to the storylines that they introduced in the past episodes.
Marvel Studios recently released a new promo for Hawkeye titled "The Boss" which gave us a look at the action-packed finale with Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, and Yelena Belova seemingly fighting against the Tracksuit Mafia and a quick tease at Kingpin in which they briefly showed a close-up shot of his legs and cane. You can watch it here:
While it didn't show us the face of D'Onofrio as Kingpin, it does indicate that he will have a larger presence in the finale and Marvel knows how to tease with fans as they know they are looking forward to seeing him return on the role for a long time now. In addition, the promo also gave us a glimpse at the action sequences which seemed to be set in the Rockefeller Plaza and it looks like it will be as action-packed as the finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision.
With the confirmation that D'Onofrio's Kingpin is now officially part of the main MCU canon, it does pose a question about what kind of involvement does he have in the story, why does Clint Barton know him, what does it mean about the future of the MCU since he is now part of the game, and if it's connected with the Netflix Daredevil series. Fortunately, we don't have to wait any longer as we're now a few days away before we get to know the answers.
