Marvel didn't disappoint with its Hall H presentation at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International last weekend. The studios announced all of its plans for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, unveiling a roster of films and television shows for fans to look forward to the next two years.
Fans aren't the only ones excited for Phase 4 though. Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is also pretty pumped up for Marvel's new slate.
Speaking in an interview with Variety during the opening of Jurassic World: The Ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood, Pratt couldn't help but rave about Marvel's latest announcements.
"All the Disney plus stuff sounds really cool," the Marvel star gushed, "I want to see Anthony [Mackie] in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.' Scarlet's movie [‘Black Widow'] — I'm just excited for all of it."
Pratt also praised Marvel's decision to cast Mahershala Ali as the MCU's new Blade. He also couldn't help but love the studio's decision to cast Simo Liu as Shang-Chi. Marvel confirming Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie as a member of the LGBTQ was also a big win.
So far, the actor's been nothing but impressed.
"They've done an amazing job," Pratt told Variety. "Marvel has been really, I think, helping shape culture in a major way over the last 10 years and they're going to continue to do so. And I'm just proud to be part of it."
It's lovely seeing how eager Pratt is for the MCU even though it's going to take a while for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to release (the film is scheduled for Phase 5). Marvel has a bright future ahead of it, and we can't wait to see everything slated for Phase 4.
Black Widow is set to kick off Phase 4 of the MCU when it premieres on May 1, 2020.
