Game Of Thrones Star Was So Tired Working On Battle Of Winterfell That He Yelled 'Mike Pence'

The Battle of Winterfell will probably go down in history as the most exhausting episode to shoot for Game of Thrones. After all, production lasted for 11 lengthy weeks that had some strange effects on the cast. For instance, Jacob Anderson was so tired that the only thing he could yell out was "Mike Pence!"

Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were recent guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where they talked about the daunting task of filming The Long Night. The producers admitted that all the work took a toll on the cast and admitted that some people probably couldn't even think straight. Weiss revealed that when director Miguel Sapochnik told Anderson to shout out Grey Worm's command to the Unsullied, Anderson was too exhausted to speak Valyrian.

"Jacob was so tired and so delirious and so out of it that all he could think to yell was, 'Mike Pence! Mike Pence! Mike Pence!" Weiss said. "So in one of those scenes when Jacob is yelling and pointing ... what he was actually saying was 'Mike Pence! Mike Pence!'"

Luckily, Anderson was wearing a helmet while shooting the scene so his lips weren't visible. The actor was able to re-record his lines afterward when he finally got some rest.

Anderson isn't the only one who was feeling the pressure while filming Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3. Kit Harington had previously admitted that the cast was ready to "kill each other" for real just so they could finish working on the episode.

We're certainly glad that the cast and crew survived the grueling 11-week shoot. Let's just hope that their characters will survive long enough to enjoy the spoils of the war against the White Walkers in the final season.

Game of Thrones Season 8 airs on HBO every Sunday nights.
