Game Of Thrones: Kit Harington Was 'Pissed Off' With Jon Snow's Dragon Scene In The Long Night

People have their own opinions about Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3, which was undoubtedly the darkest episode in the show's history. Interestingly, Kit Harington has just revealed that he was "slightly pissed off" with what happened to Jon Snow in The Long Night.

Harington spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the Battle of Winterfell where his character spent plenty of time with the dragons. However, the Gunpowder star admitted he wasn't too pleased with Jon being so far away from the battlefield in the episode.

"I was slightly pissed off I was on a dragon, it stops me from fighting in a crowd," Harington said. "It's going to look cool but I wanted, in some ways — just as Jon does — to get back down on the ground. The fact he can fly a dragon means he has to but his place is down there amongst the sword swingers. But that whole episode should be mesmerizing."

Of course, Jon eventually dismounted Rhaegal to charge into the battlefield and try to take on the Night King. However, he was stopped when the villain raised the dead and left Jon to fend for himself. Also, there was that entire screaming at an undead dragon scene. Nevertheless, Harington is glad that's over because that means we can finally watch the episode he truly enjoyed working on.

"One of my favorite episodes is four because the characters have seemingly got what they needed," Harington confessed. "The world is safe now. They're celebrating and saying goodbye to lost friends. But as an audience you're going, ‘This is only episode four, something's going to happen.' And that's the cool thing because I think the characters are aware of this as well. There's something twisted and uncomfortable about it. It's so Shakespearian."

He surely knows how to get us worried about our beloved characters. Let's hope that the next episode will have a relatively low body count.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 will air on HBO on May 5.
