So does Lyanna die in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3? Unfortunately, yes, but hear us out. It was a death worthy of a tiny badass who refused to let old men fight her battles.

In The Long Night, Lyanna and her men were overwhelmed when the wights finally made it into Winterfell. They were the first to encounter the wight giant (which may or may not be Wun Wun, because it has a missing eye). Lyanna is thrown back by the giant but the little lady wasn't down for long. She immediately grabbed a dragonglass blade and ATTACKED the giant, which picked her up and tried to crush her in its fist. However, Lyanna mustered all her strength and plunged the blade into the giant's good eye, causing it to crumble into pieces.

It's an awesome death fitting for a tiny badass and people couldn't stop gushing about Lyanna's moment.

We're certainly sad that Lyanna had to go but Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and DB Weiss made sure she had a great death. Interestingly, it was revealed that Lyanna was supposed to be a one-scene character but they decided to keep bringing her back because of Bella Ramsay's performance. In the end, the producers decided that they needed to give Lyanna an exit worthy of the greatest little minor character in the series.
