Game Of Thrones Season 8 Deleted Scene Might Confirm Major Jon Snow Theory

The Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere certainly had a lot of amazing things to show fans. One of the most notable scenes that people loved was Jon Snow finally getting to ride a dragon. Interestingly, a deleted scene may have confirmed a theory about how Targaryens control their dragons.

In Winterfell, Jon was initially uncertain about climbing onto Rhaegal's back. However, he eventually mounts the dragon, which immediately takes off and brings them to some waterfalls close to the Wall. Once Daenerys Targaryen joins him, he tells her, "You've completely ruined horses for me."

In the featurette called Game Revealed, the scene was actually longer but needed to be cut short because Kit Harington slips up and messes up the shot. However, he had another line that hinted at his newfound connection to Rhaegal.

"It seemed like he knew where I wanted to go," Jon said. The simple line might confirm that there is a psychic connection between the rider and the dragon.

This isn't the first time that a dragon has somehow shown off its connection to its rider. In Season 5, Dany appeared to be hoping for help to arrive as the Sons of the Harpy surrounded them in the fighting pits of Meereen. Drogon miraculously shows up and flies her away into safety.

So could this be how the Targaryens manage to control their dragons? It's certainly an interesting theory. However, we would still recommend taking it with a grain of salt.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 will premiere on HBO on April 21.
