Game Of Thrones Photographer Reveals The Truth Behind Daenerys And Khal Drogo's Baby

Working on Game of Thrones must be one of the best jobs in the world considering that you're privy of what happens behind the scenes. Not surprisingly, the show's official photographer knows a lot about what's going on in the HBO series and has just revealed an interesting detail about Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo's son.

In the first season, fans were heartbroken when Daenerys lost both her husband and her child which she had named Rhaego. The witch Mirri Maz Duur even cruelly told Dany that her son was horribly misshapen when she delivered him stillborn. In return, Dany burned the witch along with Drogo's funeral pyre. Although Daenerys went into the fire herself, she remained unscathed and miraculously hatched the three petrified dragon eggs that she now considered her children.

Things changed in Season 2 when Dany was reunited with Drogo and the perfectly adorable Rhaego in her vision. The sweet reunion was cut short when she decided to leave them to continue looking for her dragons. Interestingly, the truth about Rhaego has been revealed by Helen Sloan.

Sloan has taken the official promo photos for Game of Thrones from the start. In an interview with Vulture, she revealed 14 of her favorite pictures from the show, confirming that the shot of Drogo and Rhaego is close to her heart.

According to Sloan, she loves the image because it reunited Jason Momoa with the Game of Thrones crew. However, the other reason is that Rhaego is played by someone special to her.

"It just so happens that the little baby in that photo is my daughter," Sloan revealed.

We're certainly loving this story since it somehow confirms that the Stallion Who Mounts The World was actually played by an adorable baby girl. It makes Rhaego's brief appearance all the more delightful.

Game of Thrones Season 8 will premiere on HBO on April 14.
