Game Of Thrones EPs Hint At White Walkers Possibly Returning In Season 8

There's a lot of tension and relief after Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 premiered last Sunday. After all, The Long Night featured almost an entire hour of intense fighting (mostly in the dark) and a shocking twist on how the war was finally ended.

But does this mean we never have to worry about White Walkers again? Executive producers David Benioff and DB Weiss may have suggested that we haven't seen the last of the icy zombies just yet.

Benioff and Weiss were recently guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where they discussed some interesting details about the previous episode. For instance, Weiss shared how actor Jacob Anderson hilariously improvised some Valyrian lines while filming a particularly exhausting scene. Interestingly, they also commented on Kimmel's questions about future episodes. When the host asked whether the White Walkers are officially done, Benioff had an ominous response.

"Yeah, we're not gonna answer that," he said.

The producers were just as secretive when asked whether Bran Stark knew his sister Arya Stark would be the one to kill the Night King ("Possibly") and if someone will take the Iron Throne ("Possibly").

It's a strange response from the EPs considering that all the White Walkers had shattered into icy pieces when the Night King was killed. Or were they? Some believe that Craster's babies who were sacrificed to the Night King might still play a vital role in the final season.

We're still not sure how the White Walkers might return in Season 8. For now, let's hope that things will work out for all the good guys on the show.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 will air on HBO on May 5.
