Fans freaked out when it was announced that legendary comic book writer Jonathan Hickman would be writing two new X-Men comic books; House of X and Powers of X. Aside from a teaser image, we don't know anything about these new comic books, other than that they will change the course of the current X-Men comics. Well, Marvel has just released the first covers of these comics and they have raised a lot of questions.
Apparently, House of X will detail Professor Xavier's grand plan for mutantkind. The cover shows Xavier, still in his younger body, leading Cyclops, Jean Grey, Magneto, and Wolverine somewhere. While Wolverine still has his cool brown and yellow costume from the ‘80s and ‘90s, Cyclops will be donning a new costume.
If that wasn't exciting enough, Powers of X will reportedly cover the secret past, present, and future for all mutantkind. Unlike House of X, which has a number of familiar characters, the only one we can recognize in the first cover is Professor X. These new characters look fairly exciting and we can't wait to get our hands on these issues.
Both House of X and Power of X come out this July.
