There are several memorable scenes in Captain Marvel, from Carol Danvers taking control of her full power to Nick Fury losing his eye. However, it looks like the first Avengers film had already hinted at the movie's most surprising (and awesome) sequence.
Spoilers Ahead! You Have Been Warned!
Captain Marvel confirmed what we've already been expecting: the adorable Goose is not a cat but a Flerken, a furry feline-looking alien that houses pocket dimensions in its belly. Talos already warned everyone about this fact but nobody believed him until Goose showed them what makes him different.
When Carol told Fury to handle the Tesseract, the then-SHIELD agent claimed he didn't want to touch it. Luckily, Goose decided this was the best time to unleash the tentacles in his mouth, with which he grabs the Tesseract and swallows it whole.
Does that sound familiar? A Reddit post might refresh your memory.

The Avengers scene between Bruce Banner and Black Widow was a tense one but Banner managed to make us chuckle with that comment. Little did we know that THAT is exactly what happened to the Tesseract back in 1995.
Hopefully, the Hulk won't have to worry about swallowing any Infinity Stones in Avengers: Endgame. One theory suggests that Goose will turn up in the film to reunite with Captain Marvel and once again save the day.
Captain Marvel is currently showing in theaters worldwide. Avengers: Endgame is scheduled for release on April 26.
