Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is Coming to Nintendo Switch Next Week

After more than a decade of not getting any mainline Final Fantasy games, Square Enix has finally decided to bring some of its more beloved installments to the Nintendo Switch. Fans have been enjoying Final Fantasy VII and IX on the console hybrid, with the X/X-2 remaster recently coming out and also proving to be a great time for JRPG fanatics. Now, it's time for the best PS2 Final Fantasy to come to the console.

Next week, on May 30, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be making its way to Nintendo's new gaming console.

During the time of its release, many fans had a hard time gravitating towards XII due to its complex combat system and Vaan, the main character who felt unimportant to the overall plot. Since its release, a lot of fans have looked back fondly on the game, with some even saying that it's one of the best Final Fantasy games ever made.

The game isn't just a port of the beloved PS2 version since it will also have the job system from the Japanese release of the JRPG. Fans around the world didn't get to experience this until The Zodiac Age finally hit the PS4 not too long ago and soon enough, Nintendo Switch players will be able to try the game out for themselves.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age finally comes to a Nintendo system next week, on April 30.
